Getting help

It helps to say which task, what you expected, and roughly when you noticed. If Pliny proposed something odd from an email or a recording, open the item in Review: it shows the exact excerpt it came from, and quoting that tells us more than a screenshot.

Dates Pliny is not sure about are marked provisional and never shown as confirmed. If a provisional date is wrong, edit it on the task and Pliny replans around the new one.

No. Unfinished flexible work is rescheduled around your fixed commitments automatically. Snooze what can wait, mark what is not possible today, and Today shows you the next step.

Only that task: its title, notes, deadline, repeat rule and the group’s progress. They do not see its source, your other tasks, your calendar or anything else in your workspace. That is true even for a buddy who already has access to parts of your workspace; a shared task is always accepted task by task.

Editors can change the task and invite or remove people. Participants can view the task and manage only their own progress, planning, pin, snooze, focus sessions and reminders.

The person who created it chooses: complete when any participant marks it done, or only when every participant has. Invitations that have not been accepted never block completion. An editor can change the rule later from the task’s sharing page.

The invitation email links to a page where you can accept or decline. To accept, sign in with the invited address; a new account is free, and Pliny can verify the address with a six-digit code sent by email. You can decline from the same page without creating anything.

Revoke it from the task’s sharing page. An invitation can only ever be accepted from the address it was sent to, so it cannot be picked up by someone else’s account.

Open the task’s sharing page and choose Leave. Your access ends immediately and the task stays in place for everyone else. Editors can also remove participants from the same page.

A buddy only ever has the access you granted, area by area, and you can change or revoke it from Contacts at any time. Revoking takes effect immediately, and every buddy read or write of sensitive material is recorded for you.

Connect integrations, change your security settings, export or delete your account, invite other buddies, or widen their own permissions. The person whose work is being planned always owns the account.

Each disconnects from Sources. Disconnecting stops new material arriving, and you can separately set how long source content is kept, including keeping none of it. Retention decides what happens to what already came in.

Reminders go out over push, email, WhatsApp or text, whichever you linked. WhatsApp and text need an opt-in that you can withdraw, and both depend on the messaging service and your mobile network. Check that the channel is still linked in Reminders before writing to us.

Into a dedicated calendar named Pliny in your Google account. Your other calendars are read for fixed commitments and are never changed.

Settings has an export that produces a single file containing your tasks, projects, sources, shared-task participation and activity. It is yours to keep and does not require asking us.

Settings deletes the account outright. You confirm by typing the phrase it asks for, and it removes your workspace rather than hiding it. This cannot be undone, so export first if you want a copy.

The pricing page explains what Free and Premium include, how allowances reset and how the no-card trial ends. Subscriptions bought through Apple or Google are cancelled in those account settings.
